Rainaldi’s run for office is well-founded

A). Steve immediately sprang into action following the county’s announcement of its plan to purchase the La Quinta Inn. I first met Steve at a meeting of local residents convened in the aftermath of last August’s protest. He voiced our concerns — point by point — directly to Supervisor Dave Pine — which resulted in significant alterations to the county’s proposal.

B). Steve personally delivered a recall notice to Maurice Goodman at a council meeting last November. That’s as straightforward as it gets.

C). Steve has walked the streets/hills of Millbrae since last fall — listening to neighbors/residents, educating them on the issues, and consolidating/integrating their views into a solid platform. Running for office is a natural extension of the work he’s been doing on behalf of residents all year.

Politicians and candidates make statements — true, false, meaningless — all the time. There is a way to separate fact from fiction, and to discern authenticity. Watch what they do and/or what they have done. Actions taken late in the game or worse — no documented history to speak of? I would weigh statements made by such candidates accordingly.
