Editor,

In response to the March 6 letter, “Heartless Kevin Mullin,” the writer misses the point.

Imagine having TDS so badly that you defend Democrats not politely clapping for a young boy with cancer. Every president in my memory has brought up sympathetic individuals to humanize their SOTU speeches. And the opposition party has always politely clapped or even stood to honor these Americans, regardless of policy differences, until now. Not sure how we come back as a society from this level of hatred.

Hey, MichKosk

Let's not forget... the former head of the Democratic Party would not even acknowledge his own granddaughter until shamed into doing so.

Not So Common

Dont gorget Nancy drunkard Pelosi childishly tearing up her copy of the State of the Union speech. Class act she is.

Rel

Wow! Mocking Pelosi for lack of class! Trump would not know class if it hit him over the head. However, righties don't care about that, power is where it is at for them.

Rel, perhaps Trump is following Pelosi’s lead. You know, like Dems sitting and waving paddles and a cane at Trump. Apparently, lefties don’t care about Americans – their hatred for Trump overshadows their love (is there any left) for America. Sad.

Terence Y

Interesting assertion, Mr. Speert. Apparently you’ve missed recent polls showing President Trump receiving high marks from both a CBS (76% approval) poll and a CNN (69%) poll for his speech. If anything, Dems were using their sitting /paddles/shirts for political theatre. They could care less about America. Mullin and Dems sitting speaks more about Dems and their hatred of Trump than it does about Trump and his love for America.

Past Democrat Presidents also offered examples of heroic people in their State of the Union speeches as Republicans clapped and sat respectfully in their seats. How could you not stand up clap hands for a young boy dying of cancer? Democrats were disrespectful of our long tradition and came off petty and vengeful over loosing an election.
