Reading, in today’s Daily Journal (April 24 edition), the article wherein our “self-proclaimed king” again blames the Russian War on Ukraine. If they’d only stop saying “no” to finally giving up territories that Russia has previously invaded and stolen through war after war.
Imagine someone has stolen something of yours and you go to court and the judge says to not only shut up, but to give it to the criminal and give him whatever he wants.
And to add insult to already many injuries, that dealing with you, Joe Schmo “are harder than dealing with the criminal who stole your stuff!”
If you can imagine this entire multi-years’ tragedy against the Ukrainian people, your heart, like mine, should be breaking.
It would help writers like Kat if they would dig a little deeper into the borders between Russia and the Ukraine. These have shifted quite a few times over the past 100 years. Particularly in the border regions, many Ukrainians are actually Russians and have expressed their preference for being part of Russia. While the bombing and destruction is heartbreaking, and Trump is the first and only one to look for ending this disaster, just blaming Russia is a sign of not understanding or appreciating the histories of that region. Many in this country cannot even determine the gender of our citizens, let alone provide corroborated opinions on the war over there.
Dirk: You said: “Trump is the first and only one to look for ending this disaster”. Yeah, like everything else, this bombastic liar will fix anything and everything on Day 1! And what happened, besides introducing even more problems, - from Day 1? Don’t you Trump supporters ever learn?
I also feel sorry for the people of Ukraine just as I do the woman and girls in Afghanistan who came back under Taliban rule when we pulled out. But we have limited resources. It would help if the quasi-socialist states of the EU had more productive economies to contribute more to the defense of western principles in the world.
Just like Ukraine resists Russian invasion, this twice divorced (so far!) “King”, a poorly educated liar, so devoid of charm that he finds it necessary to force himself on women, blaming them for resisting!
