The San Francisco Board of Supervisors has voted to install parking meters in Golden Gate Park. This is in addition to the hundreds of meters that were added recently, throughout the city. They also have jacked up the already high rates and fines.
Even if you’re just passing through, there are several dozen new speed cameras in addition to dozens of red light cameras on popular routes. Perhaps the city is trying to tap drivers to close its enormous budget gap. So, if you’re going to San Francisco, you can wear a flower in your hair, but you may want to leave your car behind.
