A better choice for District 2

In April 2023, she wrote a guest perspective complaining about the one supervisor (out of five) who did not vote the way she wanted on a decision involving immigration. In the column, she claimed people in 60 organizations would be “dealing with the aftermath of damage for years” after the vote because that one vote did so much damage. She provided no specifics as to identities of the 60 organizations about which she was talking, and no explanation of how a single vote could cause years of damage.

In March 2024, she took advantage of her supervisor position to insist that Medical Center Board staff vote on a ceasefire resolution for the war in Gaza. Quoted as saying “ … silence is complicity …” after the initial vote did not pass, she requested a second vote.  The supervisors influence working conditions and compensation for county employees, and here was a supervisor insisting medical professionals take action dictated by her political opinion.  This was not the right thing for her to do.
