Plastic accumulating in our oceans and on our beaches has become a global crisis. Billions of pounds of plastic can be found in swirling convergences that make up about 40% of the world’s ocean surfaces. At current rates, plastic is expected to outweigh all the fish in the sea by 2050.

So, it was great news that a 40-year-old San Matean (formerly of the S.F. Giants’ accounting office) has given up her accounting practice to walk the talk of saving our planet. Here is Laura Porter in her own words:

Sue, the folks who like Mullin are likely those who benefit directly from his tax and spend voting record. He is also a diehard supporter of Pelosi and an open border advocate. He has no problem at all with illegal immigration, sanctuary cities and has stated such in a reply to me once. No, I think we need new blood to represent us. This state is already going to h*** in a handbasket, we don't need another perpetrator like him.

Dirk, given your dystopian view of the world, we would not likely agree on the time of day, and today is no exception. However, you did remind me of a great bumper sticker I once saw and caused me to laugh enough to nearly drive off the road. It read: "Where am I going?" "And what is a handbasket?"

Rel - you clearly do not know where you are going. As usual, you just take pot shots and spout other folks' talking points. Tell me, do you agree with Mullin on his positions? If so, the gravitas of your opinions certainly would not weigh down even a child's Easter hand basket.

Dirk, do you really read my posts? I take it as a point of honor to not attack anyone personally, only their positions, philosophy, or opinions which are always fair game. As to talking points, I have been voting both sides of the aisle since the days of JFK, so I am well equipped to spout my own talking points. I do agree with Mullin, but other candidates as well and have not decided my vote yet.

Hmmm... Rel, you "take it as a point of honor to not attack anyone personally, only their positions, philosophy, or opinions..." Sure.
