It is with much sadness that we announce the passing or our beloved father, Robert Henry Browne, (Bob). At the age of 90, Bob passed away peacefully in his San Bruno home.
Born to Dr. Rupert & Adelaid Browne, the second child of ten. Bob graduated from Capuchino high school in 1954. While at Capuchino, Bob was a hard-working sports star. Bob scored Capuchino’s first touchdown in the school’s history, set records in track for sprinting & hurdling, as well as played basketball. Bob received Capuchino’s Block “C” for football & track.
July 30, 1957 Bob married Mary Ann Willis, their love story lasted 69 years. Patriarch of the family, Bob worked as a United States meat inspector for 30 years and started as a Mutual clerk in 1977, working primarily at his beloved Bay Meadows race track, where he also enjoyed owning his own race horse, “The Ayes Have It”.
In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking and tackling home & auto repairs. Bob took pride in doing things himself and even learning a new language in his 80’s. Bob continued to excel at whatever he did from his childhood to an adult. Bob is survived by his wife Maryann, son Jon, daughters Debra, Cindy & Roberta. Five grandchildren, Joseph, Kevin, Alicia, Tony, Patrick & Mikey and two great granddaughters, Eliana & Maya, as well as his siblings, Nancy, Johnny, Billy, Phillip, Dickie & Josephine.
We will Miss him Every day…
