Ernest F. Heath, born Oct. 28, 1942, and raised in San Francisco, died Oct. 1, 2018.
He grew up in the North Beach area in an Italian family and community working many jobs. A few of his favorites were a paper boy, the butchers’ union and then found his way to the docks of San Francisco working in the fish industry most of his life. He was a resident of San Mateo, California, for many years and has contributed to his community whether it was through coaching or mentoring the kids throughout the neighborhood.
“On the baseball field, basketball court or at the Heath’s house sitting poolside. Dad loved to sit in the sun whenever it was shining. He loved to play golf, vacation in Lake Tahoe and Arnold, California, which are his and our families favorite places. He is a dancing star and always had everyone on the dance floor.”
He is survived by his four children Antoinette, Ernest, Joseph and Michelle; seven grandchildren Alli, Megan, Audrey, Dante, Rae, Charlie and Andie Lynn. “We love you Dad, forever.”
Funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Skylawn Memorial Park, State Route 92 and Skyline Boulevard, San Mateo.
