LONDON (AP) — U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened legal action against the BBC over the way a speech he made was edited in a documentary aired by Britain's national broadcaster.

BBC chairman Samir Shah on Monday apologized for the “error of judgment,” which triggered the resignations of the BBC's top executive and its head of news.

Oh the irony. I see the AP rountabled how to cover this story in a way that supports Trump the least, and it came up with this headline, "BBC says Trump has threatened to sue over edited speech that sparked resignations by news bosses". Wow. That is a "world class pivot." What actually happened here is that one of the most prominent and influential "news" organizations in the world was caught blatantly warping reality in order to further a political narrative against someone the employees of the BBC dislike, Donald Trump. In other words, they abandoned their roles as "journalists" and instead put on their capes as crusader liberal leftists. And they got caught red-handed, and the top two executives were forced to resign. So the headline should really be, "BBC Caught with Deceptive Editing - Two Executives Resign". But that lesson was lost entirely when the AP staff also relinquished their role as journalists, put on their anti-Trump capes, and concocted the headline you see here. We are not a divided country politically because we are so different, we are divided because the news media has abdicated it's role and instead are simply activists for the far left. This has created a dual-reality in which we can't even agree with what the truth is. As this headline and article show, the cancer of liberal left "journalism" is still alive and well. I just hope the Editor of the SMDJ can keep it's staff right down the middle, even if, gasp, the truth vindicates Trump.
