A woman convicted on drug charges was sentenced Friday to 18 months in federal prison for posing nude with a gun.
Katica Crippen, 33, had pleaded guilty in January to possession of a firearm by a felon. At the time, she was on parole from a state prison for distributing methamphetamines. Terms of her parole prohibited gun possession.
Crippen was arrested by federal authorities last fall after pictures taken by her boyfriend were seen on the Internet. The photos showed Crippen wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet on her ankle.
The state prison term was reinstated and runs to 2004. She is eligible for parole in December, according to the state Corrections Department.
She will serve her federal prison sentence after completing her state sentence, said Jeff Dorschner, spokesman for the U.S. attorney's office.<
