Oscar Patino
The man a jury convicted in March of molesting two girls, both 5, at a day care center his wife formerly operated at was sentenced to 60 years to life in prison Friday, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.
Oscar Patino, 58, was found guilty of 13 of 14 charges he faced.
Patino was found not guilty for allegedly fondling a third girl at the day care center, according to prosecutors.
In 2013, a 9-year-old girl told her mother that while at the day care for the month of July 2009 Patino molested her multiple times when the other children were napping and his wife was not in the room.
A second girl reported that Patino similarly molested her repeatedly during nap time when she was 5.
Judge Jonathan Karesh said he hoped the young victims would never have to see Patino again after handing down the sentence, according to prosecutors.
