A Las Alamos man was arrested Saturday night in connection with leading police on a pursuit in Pacifica.
David Allen McCoy, 33, was arrested on suspicion of felony reckless evading a police officer and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, according to the Pacifica Police Department.
On Saturday at 11:10 p.m. an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling south on Highway 1.
Police said the driver, later identified as McCoy, failed to yield, turned onto eastbound Linda Mar Boulevard and accelerated in an attempt to evade the officer.
The pursuit made its way onto northbound Highway 1 when McCoy's vehicle crashed into a center barrier just north of Reina Del Mar Avenue, police said.
The vehicle then ran off the road and into heavy foliage near a Pacifica Police Department station.
