o They say a photo is worth 1,000 words -- a photograph of Coroner Robert Foucrault on his campaign Web site is worth at least that many from challenger Stacie Nevares. Nevares said Foucrault used a county-funded, and therefore taxpayer-funded, photograph from his office Web site for his campaign. Foucrault said he paid for the photograph himself because he did not care for the one taken by the county-funded photographer. The money came from his campaign because he chose to also use it for his campaign Web site and Facebook page, he said. In a press release, Nevares said she will forward the matter to the California Fair Political Practices Commission for review. o The Loma Prieta Chapter of the Sierra Club announced its endorsement of April Vargas for supervisor of San Mateo County's District 3 in the June 8 election.
