Class Notes: Sandberg dinner

Fifteen exceptional high school seniors from Peninsula Bridge, the acclaimed program empowering low-income and first-generation students to achieve college and career success, have been selected as recipients of the Dave Goldberg Scholarship, a program established by Sheryl Sandberg in 2017 to support college-bound high school seniors across the country who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and remarkable leadership skills. The 15 recipients of the Goldberg Scholarship, which provides financial support of $15,000 per year per student, are active Peninsula Bridge scholars who reside on the San Francisco Bay Area Peninsula, most of which are the first in their families to attend college. From left, Melina Morales Lemus, Gabriel Sandoval, Karla Araracap, Pedro Aldaco, Dulce Castillo Morales, Matias Estay, Randi Shafton, Sheryl Sandberg, William Buitron, Gael Guerrero, Luis Revuelta Orozco, Chelsea Blumenthal, Omar Hinojosa, Douglas Sanchez, Erick Cabrera Vasquez, Camila Berber and Lucia Ruiz Blanco.
