Sequoia 35, Woodside 25
The Ravens damaged the Wildcats’ Ocean Division championship hopes with the upset Tuesday night.
With the loss, Woodside (7-2 PAL Ocean, 14-6 overall) falls two games behind division-leading Capuchino with three games left in the regular season.
Sequoia (4-5, 10-10) took control of the game in the first period, leading 10-3 as the Ravens held the Wildcats to just five first-half points, leading 17-5 at halftime.
Woodside got back in the game in the third quarter, outscoring Sequoia 15-9, but the Ravens held off the Wildcats in the fourth.
Olivia Macuga led Sequoia with a game-high 12 points. The Ravens held Ocean Division leading scorer, Kyla Rich, to just seven points. Emily Parker led Woodside with 11 points.
Sacred Heart Prep 54, Menlo School 46
The Knights held Gator’ leading scorer, Kate Baron, to just eight points, but Maggie Goldstein picked up the slack to lead SHP past the rival Knights in a non-league game.
Goldstein scored a game-high 21 points to lead SHP (10-7 overall).
Menlo falls to 14-6 overall.
Summit Shasta 65, University Prep Academy-SJ 28
The Black Bears clinched the PSAL North Division title after cruising past the Bulldogs.
Daina Randall posted an impressive double-double for Summit Shasta (9-0 PSAL, 13-8 overall), going off for 34 points and grabbing 11 boards.
UPA falls to 0-6 in league play and 1-9 overall.
Design Tech 68, Mid-Peninsula 6
D Tech routed Mid-Pen, leading 11-0 after the first period and 30-3 at halftime.
Tiffany Ta scored a game-high 21 points to lead D Tech (6-1 PSAL, 9-5 overall), while Vanessa Chow added 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Mid-Pen falls to 1-9 in PSAL play and 1-13 overall.
Nueva School 47, Mercy 36
The Mavericks outscored the Bears 27-14 in the second half to post the non-league win.
Julia Randolph had a huge game in leading Nueva (11-7 overall) to the win, posting a massive 23-point, 23-rebound double-double.
Mercy falls to 7-12 overall.
Boys’ basketball
Hillsdale 52, Capuchino 48
The Knights did not suffer a letdown after last Friday’s massive win over Aragon, staying in a tie for first place by holding off the Mustangs.
Hillsdale (8-1 PAL Ocean, 11-10 overall) trailed 31-28 going into the fourth quarter before erupting for 24 fourth-quarter points to pull out the win.
Callum North and Sebastian Avina tied for game-high scoring honors for the Knights as both scored 16 points. Javier Carter led Capuchino (3-6, 8-13) with 14 points, while Matt Alas added 10.

Aragon 72, Oceana 28
The Dons kept pace with Hillsdale atop the Ocean Division standings after they routed the Sharks.
The game was all but over after the first quarter, as Aragon (8-1 PAL Ocean, 16-5 overall) built a 22-6 lead and added 23 more points in the second quarter to lead 45-19 at halftime.
Aragon had a trio of players score 11 points — Armando Cajbon, Charlie Platz and Quinrun Zhang.
Oceana (0-9, 5-16) was led by Catcher Ashkinos, who finished with nine points.
Woodside 56, Westmoor 15
The Wildcats remain one game behind Aragon and Hillsdale in the Ocean Division standings after burying the Rams.
Luke Grech nearly matched Westmoor’s output, finishing with a game-high 14 point. Marco Antonino added 10 points for Woodside (7-2 PAL Ocean, 10-9 overall).
Westmoor falls to 2-7 in Ocean play and 7-14 overall.
Mills 55, El Camino 52
Leading 27-21 at halftime, the Vikings held off the Colts in the second half to post the win.
Paris Baltazar led Mills (5-4 PAL Ocean, 7-2 overall), finishing with 16 points. Jacob Lo added 14 points for the Vikings.
South City (4-5, 8-12) got 16 points from Luke Burton and 13 from Jayden Lucero.
El Camino 58, San Mateo 44
Eli Ledesma went off for 26 points to lead the Colts past the Bearcats.
The difference came in the first quarter, when El Camino (6-3 PAL Ocean, 12-9 overall) built an 11-6 lead and then added on over the final three quarters.
Ryeln Vinas added 10 point for the Colts.
San Mateo (2-7, 9-12) was led by Bryan Ehlerman, who finished with 14 points, while Daniel Villeda added 11 points. Grant Wolfgram returned from a knee injury and scored two points.
Carlmont 68, Jefferson 42
The Scots doubled up the Grizzlies in the first quarter on their way to the Bay Division victory.
Carlmont (6-4 PAL Bay, 11-9 overall) built a 22-11 lead in the first quarter and then held Jefferson (0-9, 6-14) to six points in the fourth quarter.
Bay Division scoring leader Jordan Rice scored a game-high 17 points, while Bryan Ling added 14 points.
Jefferson was led by Jayden Peralta, who finished with 10 points.
In other action ...
Menlo-Atherton (17-3 overall) beat Sacred Heart Prep (10-10) in a non-league meeting, 54-41.
More-SJ (6-3 PSAL, 12-8 overall) cruised past Nueva School (3-7, 4-15) , 72-46.
Design Tech (9-0 PSAL, 10-6 overall) ran its win streak to 10 in a row following an 82-32 win over Mid-Peninsula (3-8, 5-11).
Summit Shasta (10-0 PSAL, 16-6 overall) won its eighth straight game, beating University Prep Academy-SJ (6-3, 15-6), 73-45.
