Serra 8, West Park 1
Michael Ohman channeled his inner Shohei Ohtani to lead the Padres (11-5) back to the win column on the final day of the Boras Baseball Classic. Ohman kept and early rally in check in the first as West Park-Roseville (16-3) scratched out an unearned run. The left-hander worked five innings on the mound to hold the deficit at 1-0 before tying at the plate with an RBI double in the fifth. Courtesy runner Nathan Fahey then scored a go-ahead run on a two-base throwing error.
The Padres went on to score four times in the fourth, with William Walbridge singling home a run and Nate Hui drawing a bases-loaded walk. Serra added two in the fifth and two more in the sixth. Ohman allowed one unearned run on four hits through five innings of work. The freshman left-hander walked two and struck out six, improving his record to 4-1 with a 0.82 ERA.
Half Moon Bay 11, Menlo School 7
PAL Ocean Division leader Half Moon Bay (7-6) rallied back from four runs down to upset Menlo School of the upper Bay Division in non-league action at Cartan Field. Menlo (7-6) took a 6-2 lead into the fifth, when the Cougars sent 10 batters to the plate amid a six-run rally. Junior Riley Jackson hit a two-run home run to left to cut the deficit to 6-4, a walk, an error and a Clark Colucci double set the table for a game-tying passed ball. Sophomore Jacob Couto then doubled home senior Kai Kung with the go-ahead run.
Kung earned the win with 3 2/3 innings of relief, allowing one run on one hit and three walks, while striking out six. Jackson was 3 for 3 with a homer, three RBIs and three runs scored, and sophomore Paxton Holden added three hits with a double and an RBI. Senior catcher Chuck Wynn paced Menlo three hits and two RBIs, with a solo home run in the sixth.
Priory 10, Westmoor 0
Senior center fielder Matthew Sun hit a three-run home run in the fourth, and senior left-hander Michael Hildebrandt fired an abbreviated five-inning shutout as Priory (5-2 PAL Lake, 8-2 overall) rolled to a mercy-rule with over Westmoor (1-4, 4-5) in Portola Valley. Sun finished 1 for 3 with a homer and four RBIs, while sophomore Trevor Demkin added two hits and three RBIs. The Rams totaled four hits, including a double by junior Leon Sakhel. The win was Hildebrandt’s 20th pitching appearance in his four-year varsity career, over which he is 7-2 with a 2.06 ERA.
Miramonte 9, Hillsdale 0
Hillsdale managed just three hits against Miramonte (8-4) pitchers Alex Heath and Lleyton Brown at the South City Spring Classic. Tommy Schultz, Jacob-Charlz Gementera and Jackson Snodgrass each had singles for the Knights (7-5), who fall to 1-1 in the tournament.

Sacred Heart Cathedral 10, El Camino 1
El Camino scratched out one run in the bottom of the first to tie it 1-all on an RBI single from Carlos Alcala, but Sacred Heart Cathedral pitcher Jacob Vines went on to work four quality innings to earn the win for the Irish (5-8). Vines also went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs at the dish, including a go-ahead two-run double in the third. Alcala paced the Colts (9-4) with two hits.

Softball
Woodside 11, Carlmont 1
Woodside right fielder Vanessa Carlos went 1 for 4 with a double, but drove in at least one run in each at-bat to finish with five RBIs, a career-high for the fourth-year varsity senior. The big showing capped the a two-game sweep for the Wildcats (2-3 PAL Bay, 9-4 overall) in a shortened five-inning mercy-rule against Carlmont. Sophomore Ava Baker won it in the bottom of the fifth with a walk-off RBI single.
Junior Victoria Torsh paced Woodside with three hits, while Baker went 2 for 5 with two RBIs. Carlmont (0-4, 3-11-1) was paced by senior Grace Stiefel and junior Micayla Lorber with two hits apiece. Senior pitcher Marisa Calderon went the distance to earn the win for the Wildcats, allowing one run on five hits while striking out five. Her record improves to 3-0.
Menlo-Atherton 15, Los Altos 1
Menlo-Atherton (10-2) scored five times in the first inning and added eight runs in the fourth to earn a five-inning mercy-rule win in non-league play at Los Altos (7-6-2). The Bears have won three straight, and nine of their last 10. Senior catcher Kylie Cox went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs, upping her season total to 22 RBIs, tied for tops in the PAL with South City sophomore Madyson Jade Quintanilla.
Freshman Lavietani Taufahema added a single and three RBIs, and junior junior Juliana Pandolfo totaled two hits and two RBIs. Junior starting pitcher Gracy Nava allowed one run on four hits to earn the complete-game victory, improving her record to 7-1.
