San Mateo National broke a 2-2 tie in the second with singles from Sterling Bailey and Luke Cruz, and added two in the fourth, two in the fifth and two more in the sixth to put it away. No. 3 hitter Mason Lambrechs led the way with a 3-for-3 day with two doubles and a run scored. Leadoff hitter Caden Jensen added two hits and two runs.
Austin Law-Hing led Belmont-Redwood Shores with three hits, including two doubles and a run scored. Dylan Sharff was 2 for 3 with two doubles, and Lucas Seoh and Joshua Lo added two hits apiece.
National advances through the winners’ bracket to face San Mateo American at Ford Field, Thursday, at 3 p.m.
Belmont squares off with San Carlos in an elimination game Monday at 3 p.m.
San Mateo American 10, Palo Alto 3
San Mateo American rallied back from a 3-1 deficit to take the lead with a four-run fourth, then added five in the fifth to take down Palo Alto.
Noah Jones was right in the middle of both big American rallies, going 2 for 3 with a triple in the fourth, another triple in the fifth, and scoring in both innings. Dominic Speight and Jacob Armstrong each also scored in both innings. Cleanup hitter Max Johnson went 3 for 3 with three legs of the cycle, including a double in the second and a rally-capping triple in the fifth.
Palo Alto leadoff hitter Arthur Anderson led his team with two hits, and Mateo Berford-Garcia reached base in all three of his plate appearances.
American advances through the winners’ bracket to face San Mateo National at Ford Field, Thursday, at 3 p.m.
Palo Alto will meet Redwood City in an elimination game Monday at 5:30 p.m.

Alpine 11, Half Moon Bay 0
Starting pitcher Connor Murphy and reliever Nixon Strict combined on a three-hit shutout in Alpine’s tournament opener. Alpine received a first-round bye, while Half Moon Bay was playing its second game of the tourney after an 8-7 win Saturday over San Carlos.
Alpine jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first, fueled by a leadoff double from Jack Schneider followed by a single from Tommy Brock. Alpine added four more in the second, sparked by a leadoff triple from Gavin Arditi, and scored five more in the third with singles from Brandon Pyle and Arditi and a triple by Strict. Arditi and Strict each went 2 for 2.
Jack Green recorded two of HMB’s three hits, going 2 for 2 with a triple. Gavin Murtha had the other hit with a fourth-inning single.
Alpine advances to the winners’ bracket quarterfinals to play Hillsborough at Ford Field, Thursday, at 5:30 p.m.
HMB will play an elimination game Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
Hillsborough 13, Pacifica 7
Hillsborough won a wild one, jumping out to a 4-0 lead in the first, then breaking a 4-4 tie in the third with another four-run outburst. Hillsborough banged out 19 hits in the game.
Each of the first four Hillsborough batters of the game hit their way on base — Mike Sakal, Mico DeMartini and Jack Veach each singled and Dylan Viera doubled. Sakal and Viera finished with three hits apiece, while DeMartini, Veach, Caroline Gherini and Momo Lubarsky each collected two hits.
Pacifica was ed by Hunter Potencion’s three hits, while Evan Lime and Jace Harrington each singled during a three-run third to tie the game 4-all. Chase Tevis, Lincon Balagot, Devin Nieve and Harrington had two hits apiece.
Hillsborough now advances through the winners’ bracket to take on host Alpine at Ford Field, Thursday, at 5:30 p.m.
Pacifica will face Menlo-Atherton in an elimination game Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
