The San Mateo Planning Commission will soon have an opportunity to demonstrate powerful leadership in response to the housing and traffic/transportation crises. By approving Passage at San Mateo, the commission can have a significant positive impact on two major Bay Area problems.

The Bay Area’s housing affordability crisis is the most pressing need facing us.

"San Mateo County between 2010 and 2014, 55,000 jobs were created, but only 2,100 homes were built.". What is the CITY of San Mateo housing debt? I'd be interested in knowing the City by city jobs:housing debts?

sounds like Mr. Whitehair is not sure were he wants to live but wants to make sure he has affordable housing and transportation wherever he goes. For long time residents who don't move to New York or Southern California, we don't feel it is our responsibility to make sure you have housing and transportation. We want local control and want managed growth for our qualify of life. The housing problem seems like a problem for those seeking a home, not the entire population and therefore is not a crisis.

by the way the Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo County is nothing more than a non-profit with members all wanting more housing. They have no more expertise in housing than you or I. They are nothing more than lobbyists who have their own agenda and should not be considered anything more than that, a special interest group.
