Editor,

I read the cover story about the Flintstone House with great interest as it is a part of my daily life (“Hillsborough calls Flintstone House a ‘public nuisance’” in the March 15 edition of the Daily Journal). I had noticed the iconic landmark seemed to be getting some attractive and attention getting upgrades appealing to the commuter crowd on 280. At the end of a long and sometimes very tiring day dealing with the inanities and insanity of daily work life, no matter how bad I think my day was, this home always puts a smile on my face when I turn the corner and cross the bridge and spy the whimsical home on the hill. I know that I am almost home myself.

Short memories. Remember how long this house sat on the market? We should be pleased someone took it and did something with it. Yes it isn't the old school concrete color on the hill, but it is still there. Be happy in it rather than just hating everything new.
