Editor,

Regarding Mr. Oberg’s letter Sept. 12, “Fighting fire with fire,” he mentions the “us” versus “them” war that Trump started and the Republicans are more than happy to propagate.

Thanks for your letter, Ms. Lara, but your description of “we” only serves to increase the distance between “us” and “them.” You demand Republicans place the needs of the people, and the country, and our democracy above the needs of an autocrat but history tells us that Democrats have become the party of serving criminals and terrorists over the American people. Democrats are the party allowing biological men to compete against biological women. Democrats are the party of kowtowing to wannabe dictator Newsom and irrationally rationalizing being a threat to democracy to address a nonexistent threat to democracy.

Seems to me that corruption, ignorance, incompetence, lying, cheating, and criminal law breaking are being done by Democrats at federal, state, and local levels. If your “we” doesn’t want to join “us” they’ll remain a “them.” Thank you for your attention to this matter. Have a Trump-tastic day! BTW, in your next letter, perhaps you could write about something more important, such as a review of Kamala Harris’s upcoming book, “107 Days” which illustrates Democrat “us” vs. “us.” Some juicy revelations so far. How many will be thrown under the bus?
