Editor,
Here is something every California citizen should ponder when voting in the upcoming special election about redistricting.
Here is the current breakdown of the California government. In the state Senate, Democrats hold 30 seats and Republicans hold nine seats. In the state Assembly, Democrats hold 60 seats and Republicans hold 19 seats.
First, is this a fair representation of the citizens? Almost 40% of the voters voted Republican in the last election.
Second, is the current representation a good “check and balance” system. I would say not.
Lastly, why is the governor wasting taxpayer money on a special election when he clearly already holds most of the California governmental seats. This is ugly politics and not a good look for our governor.
One more thing, historically the Democrats have done more redistricting efforts in California in their favor since the 1980s because they have had control.
Time for change in California.

Thanks for you letter, Clynn. It is time for a change in California. It’s been time for a change in California but as long as voters choose to vote Democrat, they get the government they deserve. It is obvious Democrats don’t care about wasting taxpayer money. Does the $30 billion lost to EDD fraud mean anything to Democrats? Do the $billions already wasted and $billions continue to be wasted on the union giveaway known as the train-to-nowhere mean anything to Democrats? How about the $billions wasted on addressing homelessness resulting in more homelessness? Vote NO on Democrats otherwise expect more of your money to be wasted. It’s a given.
