I recently received yet another glossy, multicolored, multifold “No on Y” pamphlet from real estate developers who are not interested in what is best for the quality of life and character of San Mateo.
They have been saying, dishonestly, all the right things — “climate change,” “inclusive,” “housing for heroes” — but their promises do not hold up.
But it is their latest disgraceful tactic that I’m calling out; that a Yes on Y is somehow now a yes to “Donald Trump’s Republican Party.” This just further proves that these developers will say anything to build tall buildings in San Mateo and profit from your loss of a beautiful San Mateo. Please join me in voting yes on Measure Y and no on Measure R.
The backers of Measure R are the worst of the worst when it comes to the city of San Mateo. Anyone pushing Measure R should be challenged in their views and questioned to their loyalty to the city of San Mateo and the citizens who are proud to call her home. If you live in San Mateo; Yes on Y, No on R. If you live outside the city of San Mateo, who cares what you think
The San Mateo County Democratic Party opposes Measure Y, and the San Mateo County Republican Party (who have been throwing Trump rallies all through the county recently) support Measure Y. All of that is factual information. Sorry if that's inconvenient for your narrative.
So you will stop using Uber, Lyft, Doordash, the myriad of other delivery services, and gig workers in general because the Republicans endorse Prop 22?

The San Mateo GOP endorsement page says Yes on Y and No on R. It litteraly is correct that's vote for Y is a Vote for Trump ideology.
That is a complete lie. Measure Y is a citizens initiative. You and the HLC members are spreading lies and dividing our community.
It is litteraly on the San Mateo County GOP website. 😂😂😂 SMRG doesn't even comprehend who is pulling the puppet strings.

What is your point or do you have one?
I don't use rideshare, Thomas, and for the record, I strongly oppose Prop 22.
