Regardless how one feels about the outcome of the presidential election, we should all be relieved by the lack of controversy over the vote counting, as we have had in the past. Our democratic republic depends upon our faith in the counting of the ballots. Unfortunately, some of our local election results were not completed for several weeks. This can lead to distrust in the system.
They should streamline the process, so that the results are determined sooner.
Thanks for your letter, Mr. Donnelly, but unfortunately as long as there are no Voter ID requirements, distrust in the system will remain. If various states can report voting results in hours or a few days, there’s no reason California can’t do the same. Except, as everyone knows, extra time allows for extra non-Voter ID “votes” to be entered into the system, by hook or by crook, to steal elections, as has occurred in federal elections, including Presidential, Senate and House races and who knows how many local elections. Let’s hope Trump can streamline the process by instituting national Voter ID laws so we can begin to trust the system.
Terrence, but AG Rob Bonta feels that once an individual registers to vote and shows an ID at that time of registration that there is NO need to show an ID again. This type of thinking shows how democrats and liberals are just lacking in mental acuity and common sense. So I'd like to ask Bonta and all democrats who buy into this line of thinking, how do you know the person voting is the same person who registered? Trump will definitely institute a Federal voter ID requirement and everyone should be happy. BTW, there are no US citizens who don't have an ID.
When I renewed my drivers license at the DMV, I was never asked for any proof that I still lived in CA. Two DMV employees said they knew this was the law but were told not not to follow it. Look it up on Goggle - " you need to provide proof of your California residency when applying for a driver's license"
