Drop the drones. The display was unimpressive, at best — briefer than fireworks, cookie-cutter configurations, low in the sky, boring and totally underwhelming. The potential for a stellar drone display is great. Anticipation and expectations were high, and the drones disappointed miserably. This techie region is capable of far better and deserved something fabulous. Let’s go back to the standard fireworks high above the Bay.
