While the Republicans haunted Bill Clinton about the phony issue of Whitewater, there is a real scandal of Blackwater that affects the Bush administration. Blackwater is a company that hires mercenary soldiers for duty in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Katrina disaster area. This company, along with Halliburton, Bechtal and other war profiteers are supporting the Republican Part o gain no bid contracts and other sweetheart deals.
For these companies, the Bush wars in the Middle East are great opportunities for profit. Why would they want the wars to end? So for the benefit of his friends, Bush wants to stay the course. This is the Blackwater scandal!
The irony of Blackwater companies is that it is using the Whitewater prosecutor, Kenneth W. Starr, to defend it from lawsuits.
