He was a resident of Coarsegold and his cause of death was complications due to diabetes.

He was a resident of Coarsegold and his cause of death was complications due to diabetes.
Mr. Day was born June 24, 1937. He enjoyed a lifetime love of books, traveling and the landscape of the Sierra Nevadas. Mr. Day was born in San Francisco but spent his adolescent years in Berkeley, where he attended Albany High School and the University of California, Berkeley. His adult years were spent in Millbrae raising a family and working as an expediter for Automotive Engineering. Mr. Day retired to the foothills outside of Yosemite in 2001.
He was the widower of Susan Day, who died in 1975, and the father of Richard W. Day of Huntington Beach and Diana L. Marcus of San Jose. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Kendall, Trevor, Anna, Madison and Nathan and a sister, Hanson, of San Diego. He will be remembered and missed by his family for years to come. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 21 at New Vision United Methodist Church in Millbrae, Calif.
