Donald Lunghi, late of Millbrae and Daly City, died in South San Francisco Aug. 27, 2018.
Father of Janice Callan, Don Lunghi and Amber Lunghi. Grandfather of Bethany, Tina and Nicki.
A native of Daly City, California, age 86 years. A graduate of the Jefferson High School Class of 1950, entered in the 50-Year Hall of Fame for football and baseball in 1995. He was a founding member of the San Francisco Flower Market. He was the crossing guard for the St. Roberts Catholic School in San Bruno for more than 10 years, named National Crossing Guard of the Year. For 20 years, he was a bartender at the Fisherman’s Restaurant in Burlingame.
A funeral liturgy will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at the Chapel of the Highlands, El Camino Real at 194 Millwood Drive in Millbrae. Committal will follow at Italian Cemetery in Colma. Family and friends may visit Wednesday after 9:30 a.m until 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel of the Highlands.
