San Jose police report that a 66-year-old Korean man missing since Tuesday evening was located in Milpitas this morning by officers with the California Highway Patrol.
Jong Suoon Kim, who has only been in the United States for five weeks and speaks little English, was spotted walking this morning in the area of state Highway 237 and Interstate Highway 880.
Police spokesman Sgt. Steve Dixon said the CHP got a call this morning from someone in the area of Calaveras Boulevard and Abbott Avenue who spotted the man walking on Calaveras.
Calaveras Boulevard turns into Highway 237 and when officers located the man, he was nearing Interstate 880.
CHP officers brought the man to the San Jose Police Department, where he was positively identified as Kim. Dixon said he appeared to be in good health and officers are now getting in touch with family members to let them know he has been found.
Kim was last seen on Tuesday at about 5 p.m. when he left his home in the 1000 block of Regency Knoll Drive in West San Jose for his daily walk.
