State Sen. Scott Wiener and Supervisor Connie Chan appear headed to a November runoff election to replace House Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi in a Congress seat representing San Francisco.

Wiener, D-San Francisco, had 41.3% of the vote in the race for the District 11 seat and Chan, a Democrat representing the Richmond District and other neighborhoods on the western side of the city, had 28.6%, according to the latest results from the California Secretary of State’s website. Tech entrepreneur and former senior congressional aide Saikat Chakrabarti was in third place at 14.9%.
