The San Francisco Police Department is asking for help locating Hank, a 4-year-old tan French Bulldog. Hank was picked up by an unknown male from the sidewalk on the 400 block of 18th Street in San Francisco Dec. 10.
A French bulldog that was suspected to be stolen from its San Francisco owner was found safe in Oakland on Thursday.
San Francisco police arrested 44-year-old Oakland resident Dante Shaw on Wednesday on suspicion of taking the dog, named “Hank,” but the dog remained missing when Shaw’s arrest was made public.
The San Francisco Police Department said in a statement Friday that the dog was found by a good Samaritan.
Hank appeared to be healthy and was reunited with its owner, who put out public appeals following the alleged theft on Dec. 10 on the 400 of Castro Street by someone who got into a car and fled.
SFPD again asked anyone with information about the case to contact them at (415) 575-4444 or by texting a tip to TIP411 and starting the message with SFPD.
