Manchester was caught in North Carolina in 2000 and was later sentenced to 45 years in prison. Manchester escaped in 2004. He hid out in a Charlotte Toys “R” Us and clandestinely lived there for months. “Roofman” is filled with the real people involved in Manchester's story, as well as a vacant Toys “R” Us restocked with retro toys.

Turkish singers, actors and other celebrities questioned in a drug investigation

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — Turkish authorities are questioning several high-profile celebrities in a drugs-related investigation. Istanbul's chief prosecutor leading the probe into individuals suspected of using narcotic or stimulant substances. The state-run news agency said Wednesday those summoned include 12 singers, actors and social media celebrities. It said the celebrities are not currently under custody and are expected to be released after blood tests. This investigation comes amid a growing crackdown on artists and opposition voices in Turkey. Pop singer Mabel Matiz and the girl-band Manifest are also facing legal action for alleged indecency.
