South City 24, Terra Nova 6
The Warriors scored multiple touchdowns on both sides of the ball as they cruised past the Tigers in their season opener.
South City’s sophomore quarterback, Madyson Quintanilla, threw for a touchdown and ran for another score. Jordan O’Shea-Signo caught a touchdown pass and returned an interception for a score, as did Liongi Aiolupo.
Hillsdale 46, El Camino 6
The Knights opened Ocean Division play with a convincing win over the Colts.
Hillsdale quarterback Ania Aleshi threw for 264 yards and four touchdowns. Skye Ramil was Aleshi’s main target, finishing with 123 receiving yards. She also added 24 yards on the ground.
Hillsdale defensive back Maddie Regan picked off a pair of passes, returning one for a score.
Hillsdale is 1-0 in Ocean play and 2-3 overall. El Camino dropped falls to 1-1 overall.
Woodside 30, Half Moon Bay 0
The Wildcats ran roughshod over the Cougars.
Tina Eckstein rushed for two touchdowns for Woodside, while Allison Scott, Jaylan Goins and Jodi Maier all added rushing touchdowns, as well.
Menlo-Atherton 30, Jefferson 0
The Bears had no trouble with the Grizzlies as they stayed undefeated on the season.
Mo Balinton had the highlight play for M-A (4-0 overall), returning a punt 40 yards for a score. She also caught a touchdown pass from Alex Alvarado.

Hillsdale 246, San Mateo 265
The Knights picked up their first win of the season behind Kayla Corcoran's round of 35 to take low-round honors.
That was enough to lift Hillsdale past the Bearcats, considering she was the only Knight to card a sub-50 round.
San Mateo was led by Dhutyi Chandrashekar, who finished with a 46. Arelis Leung came in with a 47 for the Bearcats.
Mills 216, Menlo-Atherton 272
Freshman Irene Jaewon, once again, led the Vikings to the win over the Bears at Poplar Creek Golf Course in San Mateo.
Jaewon had the low round of the day for the third straight match for Mills, firing an even-par 35. Senior Angelina Chen had a strong round, as well, finishing with a 4-over 39. Christina Chen had a 5-over 40, while Kayli Tsang came in with a 45.
M-A was led by freshman Savannah Lee, who carded a 4-0ver 39.
El Camino 203, South City 214
The Colts got past the rival Warriors at Foster City’s Mariners Point Golf Complex.
El Camino senior Saoirse Price led her team for the second straight match, firing a 35. Juliana Bazlamit carded a 38 for the Colts, Ryley Saavedra had a 42, Ellie De La Cruz a 43 and Adeline De La Cruz rounded out the scoring with a 45.
South City was led by junior Ashley Lau, who finished with a 34 to take low-round honors. Zoe Guevarra added 43 for the Warriors, Brooklyn Lapus a 43 and Chloe Wong a 44.
Boys’ water polo
Menlo School 11, St. Francis 8
The Knights opened WCAL play with an important win over the Lancers.
Leading 5-4 at halftime, Menlo (1-0 WCAL, 5-1 overall) outscored St. Francis 6-4 in the second half as the Knights held the Lancers to just two goals in each of the four quarters.
Hunter Coleman was a force on both ends of the pool. He led Menlo, which won the Nor Cal Division II championship last season, with six goals while also coming up with seven steals.
Adam Afar added a pair of goals for the Knights, who also got goals from Calvin Barad, Alex Stoffel and Avery Kuziemko. Afar and Stoffel also added three assists each.
