PAL scoring update
The top-10 at the PAL girls’ championship did not change Tuesday, but there is more scoring information to provide.
Burlingame’s Jolene Liu, who was in the fifth of six foursomes that barely had enough daylight to finish the round at Poplar Creek Golf Course in San Mateo, tied for 10th place with Menlo-Atherton’s Savannah Lee after both shot rounds of 88.
Tournament organizers had to go to a second tiebreaker to determine 10th and 11th place. The first tiebreaker is score on the back -9. If still tied, the score over the final six holes is used.
That is where Lee prevailed. She, officially, finished 10th and Liu was 11th for a Burlingame squad that finished undefeated in winning the PAL Ocean Division championship.
