Terra Nova 4, South City 3
The Tigers (7-3 PAL Ocean, 13-8 overall) rode a three-run home run from senior Evan Wilson to a key victory over South City (1-9, 7-15) at Terra Nova. With the win, the Tigers move into a second-place tie with San Mateo in the PAL Ocean Division.
Terra Nova starter Aiden James locked up with South City senior Emilio Oseguera for three scoreless frames, until the Tigers broke out with a four-run fourth. Joey Donati singled home the game’s first run before Wilson connected for a three-run blast to left. The Warriors rallied for three runs in the fifth, capped by an RBI single from Yordonis Medina-Pineda, but senior reliever Giovanni DeFilippis escaped a first-and-third, two-out jam to earn the hold with 1 1/3 scoreless innings.
Senior closer Cooper Santamato pitched through a leadoff single by Vince Bernal in the seventh to earn the save. Terra Nova junior Spencer Speidel had two hits, with a double and a run scored. South City was paced by Diego Carranza and Josh Ornelas with two hits apiece.
Aragon 7, Mills 2
Junior right-hander Alex Gosselin went the distance for his third straight complete game to lead the Dons (6-4 PAL Ocean, 14-7 overall) to the win at Mills (0-10, 4-14). Gosselin improves to 4-1 with a 1.49 ERA, while working 51 2/3 innings on the year. Gosselin and Mills junior Tino Janke traded zeroes through the first two innings, but Aragon broke through in the third with an RBI double from Nick Mazzola. Leading 3-2 in the sixth, the Dons broke it open with a four-run rally, capped by an RBI single from sophomore Jamey Wright.
Mazzola went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, Wright had two hits and two RBIs, and junior Kai Thornton tabbed two doubles and a run scored. Sophomore Ethan Wong paced the Vikings with three hit.
Half Moon Bay 4, Woodside 1
The Cougars (6-4 PAL Ocean, 11-9 overall) broke a 1-1 tie with three runs in the bottom of the third to earn the home win over Woodside (4-6, 10-10). With the win, Half Moon Bay remains tied for fourth place with Aragon in the PAL Ocean Division, one game back of second-place Terra Nova and San Mateo.
Paxton Holden went 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI for HMB, while sophomore Jacob Couto capped the rally with an RBI single. Andrew Ortiz and Mateus Mokhtarani each doubled for the Wildcats.
Junior right-hander Cole Colucci earned the win, allowing one unearned run on two hits through four innings of work. Holden fired three scoreless frames to record the save.
Westmoor 14, Jefferson 7
The Rams (4-6 PAL Lake, 7-7 overall) totaled 10 at-bats, and capitalized on 10 walks and two hit batsmen to score in each of their six at-bats in a home win over Jefferson (0-11, 1-17). Junior Cristian Fausto led the way with three hits, two RBIs and two runs scored for Westmoor. Senior Adolfo Fitoria added two hits with a triple and three RBIs.
Priory 16, Crystal 7
Crystal closed a five-run deficit to 5-4 in the fifth, but Priory (7-4 PAL Lake, 13-4 overall) erupted for 11 runs in the sixth to finish off a sweep of the Gryphons (2-8, 2-11-1) at Sea Cloud Park. Senior Jaidee Gerrodette paced the Panthers with three hits, including a double and four RBIs. Connor Uchida and Nico Abad tallied two hits apiece for Crystal.
Softball
South City 10, Half Moon Bay 9
The Warriors were staring at a lopsided loss, trailing 9-2 after the Cougars scored two runs in the top of the fifth.
But South City (5-1 PAL Lake, 11-8 overall) came roaring back, scoring eight runs in the bottom of the fifth to claim the win as the teams combined for 19 runs on 23 hits.
Madyson Jade Quintanilla, Sydney Semans, Kadence Yip all collected three hits for the Warriors, with Quintanilla homering and doubling while driving in a run. Semans and Yip each added two RBIs apiece.
Tessa Deeney and Paisley Harris each drove in a pair of runs to lead the offense for Half Moon Bay (3-4 PAL Lake, 7-10 overall).

Woodside 5, King’s Academy 4
The Wildcats rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to walk off with a Bay Division win over the Knights.
Woodside (4-6 PAL Bay, 13-7 overall) took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first and increased its lead to 3-1 after runs in the bottom of the fourth.
But King’s (4-5, 8-8) rallied to take a 4-3 lead with three runs in the top of the fifth before the Wildcats rally in their final at-bat.
Caroline Ong had the big hit for Woodside, a two-run double. Hannah Walker got the win in relief of Marissa Calderon, who worked the first five innings, giving up three earned runs on six hits. Walker gave up just one hit with three strikeouts while pitching the final two innings.
Hillsdale 5, Capuchino 2
The Knights won their sixth straight PAL Bay Division game, shutting down the Mustangs.
Hillsdale (9-1 PAL Bay, 15-7 overall) took a 2-0 lead with two runs in the bottom of the second, but Capuchino (3-5, 7-12) tied it with two runs in the top of the third. The Knights, however, took control with a three-run fifth.
Mia DeMartini collected three its, including a double, and drove in a run. Sophia Shelton was credited with the Knights’ other RBI. Lola Jones got the win in the circle, pitching a complete game. She allowed two earned runs while scattering 11 hits and striking out five.
Aragon 6, Mills 5
Saddled with a 25-11, mercy-rule loss by the Vikings April 7, the Dons got the ultimate revenge, scoring twice in the top of the seventh inning to turn a 5-4 deficit into a 6-5 win.
Aragon (6-4 PAL Bay, 13-10 overall) took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, added a second run in the third and two more in the fourth for a 4-0 lead.
But Mills (3-6, 11-8) rallied, scoring five runs in the bottom of the fifth for a 5-4 lead.
Rachel Horowitz and Zoe Farrigan each drove in a pair of runs to make a winner of Makayla Hafoka, who worked a complete game, giving up five runs on 10 hits.
Isabel Chen, a freshman, highlighted the Vikings’ five-run inning with a three-run homer.
Notre Dame-Belmont 11, Terra Nova 5
NDB won its third straight PAL Ocean Division game as they push for a post-season playoff spot.
Leading 3-0 after three innings, NDB (3-2 PAL Ocean, 9-10-1 overall) took command with a six-run fourth for a 9-0 advantage. Terra Nova (1-4, 6-8) gave itself some hope with a four-run fifth, but NDB shut the door with two runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Claire Kimball and Stella Hird each drove in a pair of runs for NDB, while Catilyn Lobo had two RBIs for Terra Nova.
PAL Bay Division standings: Hillsdale 9-1, San Mateo 8-2, Aragon 6-4, King’s Academy 4-4, Capuchino 3-5, Mills 3-6, Woodside 3-6, Carlmont 0-8.
