The Daily Journal is a newspaper of general circulation in San Mateo County and is adjudicated to publish legal and public notices. The order form below is to publish your Fictitious Business Name Statement for San Mateo County. This form can also be used for Abandonment of Fictitious Business Statement Form. After you have submitted the form, you should receive an email from us confirming receipt. If you do not, please follow up with us at (650)344-5200 M-F, 9am to 2pm, or by emailing us at office@smdailyjournal.com. For other legal notices, please call or email us directly for instructions. This is found in the upper right corner of your FBN Statement document (starts with M, like M-999999.  DO NOT PROCEED if this is blank.

REMEMBER: This cannot be more than 45 days ago.  First publication must take place within 45 days of the file date.

DO NOT PROCEED if it has been over 45 days from date of filing.

You can either take a picture (JPEG) or scan as a PDF.  It is important to upload a CLEAR copy to avoid delays in publication.

Fees Covering ALL Four Weeks once a week publication

For EACH BUSINESS Filing, the fee starts at $62.

ONE BUSINESS name and ONE REGISTERED owner is $62. Any additional BUSINESS name in the same filing is $15. Any additional REGISTERED OWNER in the same filing is also $15.
