Editor,
The “War with Iran: Thought through?” guest perspective by Jim Hartnett in the June 24, Daily Journal says it all.
I am against war and I want debates and communication. We have a president who promised world peace but has started a very dangerous war. Attacking a country out of the blue is insane. No thought was given to consequences, no advice, consideration or briefing was accepted. Initiated by Israel — the United States has been drawn into a conflict of human suffering, destruction, hate, retaliation, maybe escalating into World War III, i.e. United States/Israel versus Iran backed by Russia, China and North Korea. This is total insanity.
If Iran needs a regime change, then the United States needs a regime change too.

Suzanne - I don't know where you have been for the past decade but Iran has been waging war on us either directly or through its proxies for years. Your doomsday scenario does not seem to materialize. While I personally had misgivings about the the targeted raids, I believe now that we have sent a very clear messages to our adversaries, including China, Russia and North Korea. I understand that the thousands of US military casualties caused by Iranian weaponry and terrorism did not resonate with you, but fortunately we have a leader who finally put his foot down and did not erase a red line as others before him did. And as Mich said, if the majority believes we need a regime change, there will be that chance in 2028, but I doubt it.
Good news Susanne- in the USA we have an opportunity for "regime change" every four years. It's called a presidential election. Next one is in 2028.
I can hardly wait. Mich!
Good morning, Susanne
When an LTE like yours draws the kind of support posted earlier this morning in the comments section, that's very likely an indication that the letter is specious.
No one could express your feelings better than you, Ray!
Thanks for the compliment. What I like about expressing my feelings is that I can do so without fear of having those feelings deleted by the DJ's staff.
Feelings? I can still feel the tongue in my cheek!
We certainly do need a regime change! But what can we expect, when we have someone as unfit as Trump standing in the way, who appoints people just as unfit as himself, - like Hegseth and RFKJr.?
