I don’t think Kamala is the best choice for the Democratic Party, but as I walked away from the party 20 years ago… I don’t have a vote in her selection. It’s interesting to note… no one in the Democratic Party voted for her to be named as the party’s nominee… unless you consider the star chamber votes that ousted Joe.

All that being said, I think it’s best to focus on Kamala’s performance not her personal relationships.

Let’s look at her performance with respect to one issue: the open border crisis. In March 2021, Joe tasked Kamala to address the root causes of migration across our southern border. Left leaning outlets reported that Kamala was the point person in charge of fixing the border crisis… some even used the term “border czar.” Now, we’re hearing from left leaning outlets that she never was the “border czar.” OK.

Joe has described Kamala as his partner. OK again. However, border security apparently rests on Alejandro Mayorkas’ shoulders alone. Wait. Mayorkas works for and reports to his boss, Joe, and Joe’s partner, Kamala. This the way it’s supposed to work… Joe and Kamala are ultimately responsible for the crisis at the border not Mayorkas. So, how did Kamala do in addressing the root causes of millions of persons flooding across our border?

She doesn’t have to be the “border czar” to step up and try to stop millions of border crossers and the crime, drugs, and brutalization of migrants that comes with the administration’s failed border policies. Those failures are now compounded by terrorists and persons from outside the Western Hemisphere joining the flood coming across the border. Not OK.

It’s difficult for someone to make a difference in the border crisis when that someone, tasked with addressing the root causes of the crisis, spends little time in Central America and even less time at the southern border. Setting personality aside… how has Kamala performed in her role as our chief executive’s partner in protecting Americans and our southern border?

Neil, to paraphrase you, as I sit hear reading the SMDJ, I have to laugh as Republican lovers as they slowly melt down. The energy of the last few days has been off the charts from all sources for Kamala, while Trump and Vance flounder.

Trump is a loser and he will lose this election by a wider margin than the last election. Have you listened to any of Trump's interviews? He can't put together a response that makes sense, fifth graders have better coherence.

Finally, we don't have to vote for Kamala based on her gender. She has been a prosecutor, an AG, a Senator, and a VP, none of which is just handed to anyone. Republicans will be wise to run on issues, not trying to trivialize her accomplishments.

Mr. Wild and friends, all of you sound frightened by a very intelligent and disciplined woman. She has more compassion and the understanding of American law in her little finger than all of Trumps whole body. I believe she will better serve all Americans towards a better future.
