Lisa Bilhorn Keyston
May 3, 1955 – June 13, 2016
Resident of San Mateo
Beloved mother of Sarah and Graham Keyston, caring sister of Linda Bilhorn Holman of Omaha, NE, and devoted daughter of the late James and Virginia Bilhorn.
Lisa was born in St. Louis, MO, where she graduated from Principia Upper School. Lisa earned Bachelors degrees in Biology & Studio Art from Principia College in Elsah, IL and a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona, one of the top landscape architecture programs in the United States. Lisa then worked in Woodside for six years with Jack Stafford, a well-respected Bay Area landscape architect who had apprenticed under Thomas Church, before opening her own firm – LBKLA, Inc. Lisa leaves a legacy of numerous projects in the San Francisco Bay Area over the past 35+ years, in the simple yet elegant artistry that is the hallmark of her style.
Aside from her work, Lisa enjoyed playing tennis, riding her bike along Cañada Road, sailing, and spending time with her Yellow Labrador Retrievers. She was loved and will be missed by many family members, clients, colleagues, tennis partners, and church friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the gardens at Filoli – 86 Cañada Road, Woodside, CA 94062 – in memory of Lisa Keyston.

I say leave things alone and let things play out. Redistricting is only used to provide an advantage to a political party.
