Three men were arrested for shooting people with gel beads shot from BB guns in two neighborhoods Sunday night, according to San Mateo police.
At about 7 p.m., police responded to an incident near the intersection of North Humboldt Street and East Poplar Avenue and another incident was 8 p.m. on the 3300 block of Los Prados Street. Victims said a passenger of a white BMW sedan shot them in the body and face with a BB gun while driving by. Another incident took place on the 700 block of Monte Diablo Avenue at about 9 p.m. when a man walking with his pregnant wife got shot multiple times. After he made sure his wife was safe, the vehicle came back and shot him again, barely missing his eyes, according to police.
The BMW was spotted by officers a few blocks away and three people were detained: Elder Larios Mayen, 19; Jose Ramirez Rivas, 20; and Emmanuel Vargas, 20, all of San Mateo, according to police.

It doesn't look like any of these three were actually taken to jail - none of their name can be found in the system. I wonder why that is.
