Hundreds of pieces of stolen mail and evidence of a complex fraud operation were found in the search of a residence, South San Francisco police said Friday.
Zachary Zitzer was accused of mail theft from an apartment complex on Mandalay Place on Jan. 19, and involvement in a total of three burglaries for the purpose of mail theft in recent months, police said.
Detectives served a search warrant at Zitzer’s residence on Thursday. He was taken into custody in connection with residential burglary, mail theft, fraud, identity theft and drug possession, police said.
A second person, Joshua Noble, was taken into custody for felony fraud, identity theft, and drug possession offenses, police said.
Anyone with information related to the case is asked to contact the police department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau at (650) 877-8900.
