Authorities arrested an Oakland man after gunshots rang out in San Bruno over the weekend, according to police.
The San Bruno Police Department said that around 9:35 p.m. Saturday, their officers were alerted to reports of gunfire near the area of Crestmoor Drive and Oxford Lane. Upon arrival, police discovered shell casings.
Police identified a Hummer vehicle as the one driven by the suspect behind the gunshots.
Around 10:30 p.m., officers saw the Hummer in Burlingame. The Oakland man allegedly tried to ditch a firearm in the bushes in the area but a drone was monitoring him, police said.
Officers took the suspect, who was yet unidentified, into custody. Police said they recovered the firearm, which was reportedly unserialized and loaded.
The suspect was booked into San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of various weapons-related crimes.
