No service interruptions are expected when crews begin maintenance work Monday, Dec. 8, on Foster City’s main water line to ensure long-term functionality, officials said.
The upcoming work continues efforts that started last year, when a break was discovered in the city’s water main line which required overnight emergency repairs.
In preparation for the work to begin next week, Foster City has reached an agreement with Mid-Peninsula Water District to provide additional water supply during the repairs if needed. Work is expected to last roughly five days, but the extent of the necessary repairs should be identified by Tuesday, Dec. 9.
To conserve water while this work is taking place, the city is pausing irrigation and limiting water use. Community members should visit the city’s homepage at fostercity.org.
