A 46-year-old Redwood City man who admitted inappropriately touching a 7-year-old boy during a piggyback ride possessed several photos of young boys in states of undress.
He was charged with two counts of child molestation.
Agustin Hernandez Posos was arrested last Thursday in connection to the incident with the boy but sheriff’s investigators believe he may have a history of similar contact with young males.
On Friday, Posos pleaded not guilty to both counts and did not waive his right to a speedy trial on the felonies. He wore the red jail jumpsuit indicating protective custody and listened to the proceedings through a Spanish interpreter. The court appointed an attorney for Posos but he remained silent through the brief proceedings.
Prosecutor Melissa McKowan successfully sought $200,000 bail on which he remains while awaiting a Dec. 15 preliminary hearing.
Sheriff’s deputies found Posos on Fifth Avenue at El Camino Real in Redwood City after a person called to report an older male giving a young child a "piggyback ride” along the street. The person who called around 3 p.m. knew the boy and said his mother was looking for him. About 15 minutes later, the two were found walking on El Camino Real.
Posos admitted "unintentionally” touching the child inappropriately during the ride and deputies found several cut out magazine photos of young boys in his wallet, according to a statement by Capt. Don O’Keefe.
Deputies found a photo album of young boys between the ages of 7 and 11 in various states of undress in Posos’ bedroom during a search of his apartment. Posos only knew the first names of some of the boys but not their addresses, according to O’Keefe.
The boy was returned to his mother and Posos was arrested. Prosecutors have not charged him in connection to the photos.
On Monday, Posos added that he gave the boy a dollar bill and bought him two fish from the Redwood City PETCO.
Sheriff’s investigators want anyone with information to contact Detective-Sergeant Brian Raffaelli of the Sheriff’s Office Sexual Assault Unit at 650-877-7065.

I clearly missed yesterday's article. The family appear to be upset with all parties involved.
