In a battle for first place in the PAL Ocean Division, the Mustangs stayed unbeaten and on track for their first title since 2022 with the sweep of the Colts — 25-18, 25-20, 25-9
Capuchino improves to 8-0 on the season, while El Camino now finds itself two games behind with six games left in the regular season.
The Mustangs won the match on defense. Maya Canas finished with 31 digs, with Danielle Roverov adding 29 of her own.
Roberov led the offense with 10 kills for Capuhcino, while Mia Santos-Stevenson added nine. Miya Sekioka directed the Mustangs’ offense, pumping out 29 assists.
Sacred Heart Prep 3, Menlo School 0
In a West Bay Athletic League showdown, the Gators remain the team to beat following the sweep of the rival Knights — 25-17, 25-17, 25-15.
pair of sophomores, Brie Eisenberg and Leilah Abrams, paced the attack for SHP (7-0 WBAL Foothill, 17-6 overall), combining for 25 kills. Kiley McGibben directed the offense, dishing out 32 assists. She was also solid defensively, digging up a team-high 16 balls.
Alex Fair and Lily Hinshaw each finished with six kills for Menlo (4-3, 6-14), with Fair adding six digs. Junior setter Jamie Johnson dished out 14 assist, while also digging up eight balls. Ava Wang led Menlo with 10 digs.
Summit Shasta 3, University Prep Academy-San Jose 0
Daniela Ruiz finished with 10 kills to help lead the Black Bears past the Golden Eagles in a PSAL matchup.
Summit Shasta (6-0 PSAL, 18-5) saw Keira Wu and Bianca Flores combine for 10 kills, Maile Moffat had a team-high nine digs while setter Ysabelle Galvez pumped out 16 assists.

Carlmont (6-2 PAL Bay, 9-8 overall) posted a surprising sweep of Aragon (6-2, 15-5) — 27-25, 25-7, 25-21.
Menlo-Atherton (7-1 PAL Bay, 14-7 overall) needed four sets to get past Half Moon Bay (1-7, 10-9) — 14-25, 25-15, 25-21, 25-17.
Mills (5-3 PAL Ocean, 9-12 overall) swept Jefferson (2-6, 2-11) — 25-21, 25-11, 25-13.
San Mateo (6-2 PAL Ocean, 7-5 overall) beat Westmoor (3-5, 5-15) in three sets — 27-25, 25-15, 25-20.
Palo Alto (13-6) swept past Mercy (8-9) in a non-league matchup — 25-18, 25-15, 25-23.
Design Tech (4-2 PSAL, 7-7 overall) beat More (2-3, 6-13) in four sets — 23-25, 25-13, 25-16, 25-13.
Girls’ tennis
Carlmont 7, Half Moon Bay 0
The Scots are cruising to their third straight Bay Division title as they had little trouble in handling the Cougars.
Carlmont (9-0 PAL Bay, 12-2 overall) sat most of their top players and moved several others up the ladder, including Amelia Du Chau. She moved from her normal No. 3 singles position to the top spot and posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
The best match of the day came at No. 4 singles where Anila Ray came from a set down to beat HMB’s Nicole Hide, 3-6, 6-3, 10-4.
Aragon 7, Sequoia 0
The Dons got back on the winning track after last week’s loss to Burlingame by pummeling the Ravens.
Like Carlmont, Aragon (7-2 PAL Bay, 11-3 overall) sat most of their top players. Shanay Biouk, the Dons’ normal No. 3 singles player, moved into the No. 1 slot and posted a 6-2, 6-1 win.
Catie Wu, playing at No. 4 singles, lost only one game in a 6-1, 6-0 decision. Mia Lo, the Dons’ normal No. 1 singles player, joined Ella Teng, the No. 2 singles player, to form the No. 1 doubles pair who won 6-0, 6-1.
Burlingame 7, San Mateo 0
The Panthers kept pace with Aragon for second place in the Bay Division with the sweep of the rival Bearcats.

Samantha Tom, at No. 2 singles, and No. 3 singles player Evelyn Du, both won their matches at love to lead Burlingame (7-2 PAL Ba, 11-4 overall).
Woodside 5, Oceana 2
The Wildcats stayed undefeated in Ocean Division play, one game ahead of Hillsdale, following the win over the Sharks.
Woodside (9-0 PAL Ocean, 10-0 overall) dominated the three doubles matches. Lucille Palmer and Peyton Atkins won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles; the No. 3 doubles duo of Analisa Palmer and Angelina Truong lost only two games in a 6-0, 6-2 decision, while the No. 1 doubles tandem of Tatiana Berghold and Addie Weston posted a6-0, 6-3 victory.
Hillsdale 7, South City 0
The Knights kept the pressure on Woodside after sweeping the Warriors.
Hillsdale (9-1 PAL Ocean, 9-3 overall) lost only three games over four singles matches, with Elise Heneghan posting a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles.
All told, the Knights lost nine games across seven matches.

Menlo-Atherton (5-3 PAL Bay, 10-5 overall) escaped with a 4-3 win over Mills (3-6, 7-6).
El Camino (5-4 PAL Ocean) beat Westmoor (2-7), 6-1.

Elaina Foley did it again as she helped lead the Panthers to the win over the Mustangs at Mariners Point Golf Complex in Foster City.
Foley carded a 1-under 26, the third time this season she recorded the lowest round by a PAL player at Mariners Point. Olivia Evangelista and Sharon Sims-Calzolai each finished with 38s for Burlingame (9-0 PAL Ocean), Adi Evans added a 43 and Chloe French-Evans rounded out the scoring with a 43.
Capuchino (1-6) was led by Karen Rogers, who carded a 43. Presley Rohatch finished with. 45, Kaylee Jimenez a 47 and Satuito Mai a 49 for the Mustangs.
Sequoia 197, Half Moon Bay 227
The Ravens kept their faint Ocean Division title hopes alive with the win over the Cougars at Half Moon Bay Golf Links.
Sequoia (7-2 PAL Ocean) is two games behind undefeated Burlingame.
Presley Ackerholt and Olivia Macuga shared low-honors for Sequoia, with both shooting 36s. Ella Kennedy posted a 41, Kaitlyn Knockly and Kayla Royer each finished with rounds of 42.

Aragon 14, Terra Nova 4
The Dons held a slim 5-3 lead at halftime before pulling away for the Ocean Division win in the second half.
Aragon (3-2 PAL Ocean, 6-3 overall) outscored Terra Nova (2-3) 9-1 in the final two periods. Akira Snyder led the Dons with six goals. Addison Gately scored three times for the Tigers.

Sequoia (1-4 PAL Ocean) picked up its first division win of the season, beating Carlmont (0-5), 7-2.

The Ravens joined Burlingame and Menlo-Atherton atop the Bay Division standings with the win over the Scots.
