Mills 197, Aragon 214
It was a showdown for the Bay Division title and the Vikings claimed the championship with the win over the Dons at Poplar Creek Golf Course in San Mateo.
The final match of the regular season, Mills (8-1 PAL Bay) got a 1-under 34 from freshman Irene Hur to take low-round honors. Christina Chen fired a 1-over 36 for the Vikings. Angelina Chen and Kayli Tsang each carded 42s and Katie Chan finished with a 43.
Aragon (7-2) got 41s from both Katie Chong and Hannah Lin. Ariel Ogawa and Vicky Ferrero both finished with 42s, while Autumn Ogawa rounded out the scoring for the Dons with a 45.
With the regular season completed, the PAL Central Coast Section play-in round will be contested next Tuesday to determine the league’s second automatic CCS berth. The PAL individual championship is Tuesday, Oct. 28. Both events are at Poplar Creek.
Sequoia 189, Capuchino 212
The Ravens wrapped up the regular season with a win over the Mustangs at Mariners Point Golf Complex in Foster City.
Kaitlyn Knockey took low-round honors for Sequoia (8-2 PAL Ocean), finishing with a 36. Teammates Addy Mahon and Lucy Mangell both finished with rounds of 37, Kayla Royer a 39 and Ella Kennedy a 40 to round out the scoring.
Capuchino (1-8) was led by Lieni Latu, who carded a 38. Kaylee Jimenez finished with a 40, Karen Rogers had a 41, Presley Rohatch a 44 and Angelika Sinapopo rounded the scoring for the Mustangs with a 49.
El Camino defeats Half Moon Bay by forfeit
The teams played their round, but the Cougars did not have enough golfers to post a score.
But that didn’t stop HMB’s Kaia Gilbert from shooting the low round of the day, finishing with a 38 at Half Moon Bay Golf Links.
El Camino (5-4 PAL Ocean) was led by Saoirse Price, who finished with a 39.
Girls’ tennis
Carlmont 5, Burlingame 2
The Scots moved one win closer to the PAL Bay Division title with the win over the Panthers.
With three matches left in PAL play, Carlmont (11-0 PAL Bay, 19-2 overall) holds a two-game lead over second-place Aragon. Burlingame is now three games back.
Zoe Hendricks posted a dominant win at No. 1 singles, winning 6-2, 6-1. Two of the matches went three sets, with the teams splitting them. The Carlmont No. 2 doubles team of Maya Kacholiyaand Yahvi Shah beat Burlingame’s Fiona Larlab and Ali Endicott, 6-4, 4-6, 10-4.
Burlingame (8-3, 12-5) won a three setter at No. 2 singles, where Samantha Tom outlasted Carlmont’s Megan Bence, 2-6, 6-3, 10-7.
Hillsdale 4, Woodside 3
The Knights pulled into a first-place tie with the Wildcats atop the Ocean Division standings with three matches left in the regular season.
The Ocean Division winner will join the Bay Division’s No. 2, 3 and 4 teams in the PAL CCS play-in tournament.
Hillsdale (10-1 PAL Ocean) got only one win in the four singles matches, with Lia Svidler winning 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
The Knights then swept the three singles matches to post the win. Kalea Kim and Quinlnd Henroid, playing at No. 3 doubles, posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory.
Woodside’s Malia Furukawa won at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-4.
Aragon 7, Menlo-Atherton 0
The Dons kept their slim title alive with the sweep of the Bears.
Aragon (9-2 PAL Bay, 13-3 overall) is two games back of division-leading Carlmont with three matches left. But the Scots have swept the two-match series from the Dons this season.
Aragon did not drop a match as they dominated M-A (6-5, 10-7). Shanay Biouk, playing at No. 3 singles, lost just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win. The No. 1 doubles team of Jessa Williams and Allison Newman also only lost one game, 6-0, 6-1.

The Bears gave themselves some breathing room atop the Bay Division standings as they built a two-game lead over the Scots following a five-set thriller .
M-A (9-1 PAL Bay, 19-8 overall) overcame a two-set deficit to pull out a 26-28, 21-25, 25-20, 27-25, 15-8 win.
Carlmont falls to 7-3 in Bay play and 10-9 overall.
Aragon 3, Sequoia 2
The Dons kept the pressure on M-A, but they needed five sets to get past the Ravens — 20-25, 25-10, 25-21, 21-25, 15-9.
Aragon (8-2 PAL Bay, 17-5 overall) is one game back of M-A with four matches left to play on the Bay Division schedule.
Capuchino 3, Terra Nova 0
The Mustangs stayed undefeated in Ocean Division with a 25-19, 25-11, 25-17 sweep of the Tigers.
Capuchino (10-0 PAL Ocean, 17-2 overall) holds a two-game lead over second place San Mateo with four matches left in Ocean Division play.
San Mateo 3, El Camino 0
The Bearcats stayed in the Ocean Division race with a 25-18, 25-8, 25-21 win over the Colts.
San Mateo (8-2 PAL Ocean, 9-2 overall) stayed two games back of division-leading Capuchino.

Dane Tuzar scored three goals, had an assist, a block and steal to lead San Mateo (6-1 PAL Ocean). Kyle Wong scored a match-high six goals to lead Mills (0-7).
