Carlmont (0-1 PAL De Anza, 1-4 overall) took a 21-14 lead into the fourth quarter, but Mountain View (1-0, 2-3) fired back with three straight scores to rally for the home win. Spartans running back Sam Ford tied it with a 14-yard scoring run in the opening minute of the fourth. After a Carlmont punt, Ford ran it into the red zone to set up the go-ahead score with just over seven minutes to play.
The Scots overcame a 14-0 deficit in the second quarter. A 10-yard scoring pass from Bordy Zirelli to Lucas Robertson closed it to 14-7, and a 42-yard scoring pass from Robertson to Dylan Sorenson in the final minute of the half sent it to the break tied 14-all. Carlmont took a 21-14 lead in the third quarter on a 5-yard TD pass from Zirelli to Sorenson.
Three of Carlmont’s games have been settled by one touchdown or less this season. The Scots are 1-2 in those games.

Thomas Miller tabbed one touchdown reception, Vince Bernal pounded in a rushing score, and the Warriors (1-0 PAL El Camino, 2-3 overall) rolled to the victory in their Peninsula Athletic League El Camino Division opener at home against Fremont-Sunnyvale (0-1, 0-5). Miller was credited with two catches for 85 yards. Senior quarterback Anthony Howell did a little bit of everything, including 16 carries for 28 yards rushing and one reception for 28 yards. Junior defensive back Christopher Arevalo Alejo recorded his first varsity interception.
Terra Nova 27, Los Altos 0
The Tigers (1-0 PAL Ocean, 3-2 overall) rolled to their first shutout win since 2022, rolling to victory at Los Altos (0-1, 0-5) in their PAL Ocean Division opener. Senior quarterback Joey Donati led the way with three touchdowns, two rushing and one passing. Senior running back Austin Snead added a 30-yard touchdown run.

Capuchino (1-4) fell in its final non-league tuneup of the season 49-0 at Wilcox-Santa Clara (3-2).
Jefferson (2-0 PAL Lake, 3-2 overall) was credited with a 2-0 win in a forfeit by Saratoga (1-1, 3-2).
