Hannah Walker, Woodside softball. The junior pitcher helped the Wildcats to a pair of wins, including the program’s first win over Hillsdale since 2018 and first win on Hillsdale’s field in more than 20 years. Walker came up big in the 3-2, eight-inning win. Not only did she go the distance in the circle, her RBI double in the top of the seventh tied the score at 2-all after she gave up a go-ahead home run in the bottom of the sixth. She allowed two runs while scattering six hits, striking out six and walking two. She came back Friday night and helped Woodside to a 19-3 mercy-rule win over rival Sequoia. Walker again got the win, giving up three runs on four hits, with four strikeouts and a walk. She also went 1 for 2 at the plate and scored twice.

LaCasia won both sprints, taking the 100 and 200 in times of 11.30 and 22.23 in the 200, a new personal record. Mendez Grassia won both the hurdles races. In a 9-1 win over Mountain View, Maske was 2 for 2 but reached base four times. She had a triple, single, was walked and got hit by a pitch, scored three times and swiped another bag.
