Pacifica 10, San Carlos 3
Trailing 2-0 in the fifth, Pacifica rallied for seven runs in the bottom of the inning and added three more in the sixth to earn its second straight win. Dom Paulsen tripled home two runs to tie it in the fifth, and Riall Moore put Pacifica ahead with an RBI double.
Paulsen finished 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs, while Elijah Hermosillo and Bub Gatley added two hits apiece. Pacifica totaled 13 hits in the game. Paulsen is now 4 for 5 with six RBIs in the tourney.
San Carlos totaled five hits, while Mason Stevick reached base in each of his three plate appearances with three walks and an RBI.
Moore earned the win with the start on the mound, working four innings while allowing one unearned run on two hits and three walks, and striking out two. Luke Petersen set down all five batters he faced in relief, working 1 2/3 innings to close it out.
Pacifica advanced to the winners’ bracket semifinals to face Half Moon Bay at Red Morton Park, Tuesday, at 4 p.m.
San Carlos falls to the elimination bracket to face Menlo-Atherton, Monday.
Half Moon Bay 8, Palo Alto 4
Half Moon Bay relief pitcher Max Plancarte got one out, but it was a big one, as he entered with two outs and the bases loaded in the sixth. The closer coaxed an infield popup to end the game to advance HMB through the winners’ bracket against Palo Alto.
HMB starting pitcher Brandon Melo earned the win, allowing one unearned run on one hit and one walk through three innings of work. Melo struck out three. HMB rallied for five runs in the second inning and put it away with three more in he sixth.
Nicholas Naylor had a two-run single in the second and later scored on a passed ball. Aaron Ortega and Plancarte added individual RBIs in the game.
HMB now advances to the winners’ bracket semifinals to face Pacifica at Red Morton Park, Tuesday, at 4 p.m.
Palo Alto faces Redwood City in an elimination game Monday.
Redwood City 15, Foster City 0
Benjamin Tomatis fired an abbreviated one-hit shutout as Redwood City stayed alive through the elimination bracket to knock Foster City out of the District 52 All-Star 14s tournament.

Tomatis allowed just one hit and one walk in the first inning, and went on to retire the last 11 batters he faced. Michael Lackey recorded Foster City’s lone hit.
RWC erupted for eight runs in the second inning and added seven more in the third. Colby Fernandez and Xavier Palafox led the way. Fernandez was 2 for 2 with a triple and two RBIs, and Palafox added two hits, two RBIs and a run scored. Marko Axtman, Dean Joya and Ansel Tort added two RBIs apiece.
RWC advances through the elimination bracket to face Palo Alto, Monday.
SATURDAY
Half Moon Bay 15, Menlo-Atherton 0
Half Moon Bay banged out 12 hits while Aaron Ortega, Max Plancarte and Javi Haro combined on an abbreviated one-hit shutout in a four-inning mercy-rule win over Menlo-Atherton on opening day of the District 52 All-Stars 14s tournament.
HMB also ran wild, stealing 10 bases in the game. Haro led the way with four steals.
Haro, Ortega, Isaiah Watermulder, Camden Crowell and Jordan Dolores recorded two hits apiece for HMB.
Pacifica 11, Redwood City 8
Brady Fitzpatrick held on after a hectic seventh inning to save the game for Pacifica. The reliever surrendered three runs through 1 1/3 innings, but escaped a bases loaded jam by inducing a fly ball to end it on opening day in the District 52 All-Stars 14s tournament.
Dom Paulsen and Elijah Mora Feldman recorded two hits and three RBIs apiece, and Pacifica led the entire way. Pacifica scored one in the second and seven in third to take an 8-0 lead. Redwood City scored in each of its last four at-bats. Grant Ullman and Colby Fernandez paced RWC with two hits apiece.
San Carlos 12, Foster City 2
San Carlos scored four times in the first inning and never looked back, adding eight runs in the fourth to put the game away on opening day in the District 52 All-Stars 14s tournament.
Aiden Foley led the hit parade with two hits and two RBIs, while Julian Levenson and Asher Fiel also recorded two hits, and Cal Massey was 1 for 2 with a walk and three RBIs for San Carlos. Pitchers Trevor Demkin, Austin King and Massey combined to hold Foster City to three hits. Demkin, the starting pitcher, threw 2 1/3 innings on no-hit ball, walking one and striking out four.
Luke Liebl and Mason Matsuyama recorded hits for Foster City.
