The College of San Mateo baseball team won twice over the weekend in the Laney College tournament to improve its record to 3-1 on the young season.
On Saturday, the Bulldogs defeated tournament host Laney 14-8.

On Saturday, the Bulldogs defeated tournament host Laney 14-8.
CSM scored six runs in the first three innings before exploding for six runs in the sixth.
Pitcher Jeremy Allen pitched five innings, giving up three runs, to pick up the win.
Right fielder Andy Hnilo had a big game for the Bulldogs. The sophomore had three hits, including a home run and two doubles while driving in four runs. Mark Sagrafena also homered for CSM
On Friday, pitcher Chris Mezzavilla pitched eight innings of shutout ball as the Bulldogs beat Sierra College 4-0. Colton Daines, Hnilo and Ryan Worthington each had a double and Mike Mooney cracked a home run for the Bulldogs.
In CSM's second game on Friday, the Bulldogs dropped a 6-5 decision to Los Medanos in a game halted after eight innings because of the tournament's time limit.
CSM took a 5-4 lead in the top of the eighth but Los Medanos scored two in the bottom of the frame for the win.
Scott Feldman hit a homer in the loss.<
