It is difficult to take you seriously when you think Lloyd Austin was a qualified SecDef. Remember, Austin was the so-called leader when Biden took a knee and gifted Afghanistan to the Taliban. Allow me to remind everyone of a few of Austin’s disgraceful and treasonous actions: gifting over $80 billion in weapons and cash to the Taliban, the deaths of 13 servicemen and servicewomen during the botched withdrawal, a woke culture in the military, firing military personnel because they wouldn’t take an ineffective COVID shot, along with many other disgraceful actions. Not only is Pete Hegseth qualified, I’d imagine just about everyone else, including yourself, might do a better job than Austin. BTW, where’s your favorite personality, Jim Acosta, gone to after his self-firing at CNN?

"Lloyd Austin: vice chief of staff of the Army, commander of U.S. forces in Iraq, commander of CENTCOM." The same guy who was fired by Trump during his first term because he could not end the fight with ISIS. Austin's successor ended it in 4 months. Biden picked a real loser just to spite Trump.

Trump is like an out out-of-control child, playing aimlessly around, trying to see how much it can get away with. He has no integrity or understanding of what he is doing, - just look at the absolutely insane assignments he has made! I don’t think he really wants to ruin the nation, - he just doesn’t have the intellect to grasp the consequences of his actions, while being cheered along by the least educated in the nation.

The Left is now getting a taste of what Republicans had to put up with under Bidden. As I recall his Army went in for optional surgery without alerting the chain of command.

How in the world could Trump pick someone like Hegseth for such an important position? Doesn’t he care, doesn’t he understand, or is he simply that careless and ignorant?

I guess Trump had to give up trying to find anyone less competent and unqualified for the job, than Hegseth, yet hoping he wouldn't be too drunk to say "Yezz Zhir!"

Hello Constance - those super qualified secretaries of the Defense Dept. also sent thousands of our military to their deaths in unwinnable wars. Are you saying that those are also prerequisites for the job, initiating mindless slaughter of our youth? During the Second World War we had 7 four star generals, and now there are 44, commanding exactly what? Even my 7 year old grandson could not do more harm than the last turkey, Austin.
